Upcoming Outings

Steelhead Outing at ONRC near Forks March 9th - 11th

The Bogachiel, Queets, Sol Duc, Hoh, Calawah are all names of legendary rivers that bring visions of large winter run steelhead to the minds of steelheaders throughout the Northwest.
The Olympic Natural Resources Center (ONRC), will be the NFA’s refuge during the Olympic Peninsula Outing on March 9-11th.
There is lots of access to these rivers for wade fishing. If you have a boat, or pontoon boat, bring it because it will allow you to access more water.
The size of these fish demand respect, so bring an eight-weight outfit at a minimum; a spey rod would be ideal. Sink tip lines are suggested. Warm clothes are a must.
The $25 outings fee covers all the food for the week- end, starting with Saturday breakfast and including lunches.
Rates for sleeping at the ONRC are: • bunks at $30 first night, $25 following nights; • double occupancy apartments at $74 first night, $69 thereafter.
