The Northwest Fly Anglers

Membership and Meeting Details

We meet on the third Thursday of every month except July and December, at the Haller Lake Community Club from 7:30 till 10:00 pm, with an educational pre-meeting demonstration and socializing happening  at 7:00pm. The Haller Lake Community Club is located at 12579 Densmore Ave N, in north Seattle (see map below). There is parking in front as well as well as in back of the building.

The Meeting usually consists of club committee reports, followed by fishing reports, a short social period, the nights speaker, and wrapped up with a raffle.

The club is open to individuals as well as families with the minimum age for an individual member being 14. Annual club dues are $20 for individuals, $25 for families and $15 for an associate membership.

July is the annual club picnic. The club provides BBQ’d items and drinks. Members bring potluck salads, hot dishes and desserts. There is a casting competition and flytying for the kid’s. It’s just a fun social event.

In December we have our annual Holiday Party and awards banquet. This event compiles the events of the year into a celebration and recognition of efforts by club members, a presentation of awards such as our annual Memorial award for conservation. There is also a recap of the year with a slide show “Year in review”, showing  highlight photos of club members . This event is also a fundraiser consisting of many fine raffle and auction items. This is always a dinner event at one of the local hotels, and goes from nice casual to the tuxedo clad.

Please feel free to join us for an evening of fishing fun, and make sure to introduce yourself so that we can get to know you. Don’t forget to sign in and grab a Flypaper (club newsletter) at the membership table near the door. There you can get additional information on joining the club.
