Volunteer with the Kids

The annual kids fish-in will be held Saturday, May 10th from 7:30 AM to 3:30 pm at Silver Lake in South Everett in Sullivan Park.  Kids ages 4 to 14 get to fish free with preregistration in one of 8 sessions and get to keep their catch.  NFA and Everett Steelhead & Salmon Club provide expert volunteers to assist the kids in baiting their hooks and casting.  In addition the steelhead club buys extra fish in the 4 to 6 pound range to give some of the kids an extra thrill.  This is a great opportunity for NFA members to volunteer for the entire day or part of the day.  I would like to see some of our many new members show up.  As an added incentive there will be at least one fish catching demonstration by the bald eagle and/or ospry.   Walt Furler
From its very founding The NFA has had fly fishing education as one of its primary functions. On an annual basis the club offers classes in fly tying, fly casting and rod building for both beginner and advanced students.

Upcoming classes are listed on this page along with registration forms and a link to pay class fees with your credit/debit cards online through the paypal service.
The NFA proundly supports the
Northwest Youth Conservation Fly Fishing Academy by providing two full scholarships each year.
